Shunya Nakamachi loved sports and continued playing baseball since he was in elementary school.
However, he got serious cervical spine injury by an unexpected accident when he was an university student.

He couldn't do things he used to do normally and had to start from scratch.
He coldn't move or even wake up but was bedridden.

In such a situation which many people would fall into despair, he started to feel joy in being able to do things again.
He can do things that he wasn't capable of, and can move forward by building up efforts.
He feels he became greedy and positive for his development after he got disability.

And he got a chance to know wheelchair rugby.
He was overwhelmed by more experienced players with same points, but he got a clear goal.

――― Don't want to lose to anyone

This feeling became stronger after he participated in the international competition in 2019 as a Japan national player and experienced the world's level.

Not going to lose to anyone.
He keeps challenging to become the best player in the world.
